Pakistan’s gold market extended its rally after international bullion prices climbed, pushing the domestic price of one tola to Rs430,436.
Gold prices climbed sharply in Pakistan on Friday, with the price of one tola increasing by Rs3,000 to reach Rs430,436, reflecting continued strength in international bullion markets and sustained demand for safe-haven assets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs2,572, settling at Rs369,029. The latest increase extends the upward trend in the local bullion market as global prices continue to strengthen.
Bullion traders said domestic gold prices generally mirror movements in international markets while also responding to fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. A stronger global gold market and currency volatility typically translate into higher local prices.
In the international market, gold gained $30 per ounce, pushing its price to $4,080 per ounce. The increase has reinforced bullish sentiment among investors seeking safer assets amid ongoing global economic uncertainty and financial market volatility.
Analysts say gold remains a preferred investment during periods of inflation concerns, geopolitical tensions, and uncertain economic conditions. As a result, both institutional and retail investors continue to monitor developments in global markets that could influence future price movements.
