GPS Sangha School Building in South Waziristan Falls Into Disrepair, Students Face Difficulties

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

WANA: The building of Government Primary School (GPS) Sangha in Shakai tehsil of South Waziristan Lower has fallen into disrepair, creating difficulties for students and raising concerns among parents and local residents.

According to local residents, the school building has remained in poor condition for a long time, with visible signs of deterioration. They said the situation requires immediate attention from the relevant authorities, but effective measures have yet to be taken to address the issue.

Residents expressed concern after photographs showing the dilapidated condition of the school building emerged. They said the situation raises questions about the availability of basic infrastructure and facilities in government educational institutions.

According to local people, while claims are being made about improved performance and educational activities in government schools across Shakai, the condition of GPS Sangha presents a different picture. They stressed that providing children with a safe and suitable learning environment is a fundamental responsibility of the government and the education department.

The residents have appealed to South Waziristan Lower Deputy Commissioner Masrat Zaman, the District Education Officer, the Deputy District Education Officer and other relevant education officials to conduct an immediate inspection of the GPS Sangha building.

They also called for necessary repair and rehabilitation work to be initiated without delay and for practical measures to ensure a safe and conducive educational environment for students.

The residents further urged the authorities to take notice of the condition of the school, visit the site and undertake rehabilitation work on an emergency basis to prevent the deteriorating infrastructure from affecting the education of children in the area.
