In the second semi final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup the India national cricket team set a massive target for the England cricket team after posting 253 runs for 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The high scoring match is being played in Mumbai.
England captain Harry Brook won the toss and elected to field first, hoping to restrict India to a manageable total. However India’s batting lineup delivered an explosive performance putting England under early pressure.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson led the charge with an impressive 89 runs, anchoring the innings and playing several attacking shots across the ground. He received strong support from Shivam Dube, who scored 43 runs while Ishan Kishan contributed 39 runs.
Middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav added 11 runs while all rounder Hardik Pandya made 27 runs. Tilak Varma also chipped in with 21 runs to help India reach the formidable total.
Meanwhile, in the first semi final the New Zealand national cricket team defeated the South Africa national cricket team to secure a place in the final.
