Iran Breaks Silence on President Pezeshkian’s ‘Resignation’ Rumors, What Officials Revealed Next Sparks Debate

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

TEHRAN: Iranian authorities have strongly denied reports circulating in sections of the foreign media that claimed President Masoud Pezeshkian had resigned from office, describing the allegations as fabricated and entirely without basis.

The clarification came after reports suggested that Pezeshkian had allegedly submitted his resignation to the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader amid purported disagreements over governance and political authority. The claims quickly gained attention across international media platforms and social networks, fueling speculation about potential instability within the country’s leadership.

Responding to the reports, Elias Hazrati, head of Iran’s Information Council, dismissed the allegations in a statement posted on the social media platform X. He stated that there was no truth to claims that the president had stepped down or submitted a resignation, emphasizing that all such reports were contrary to reality.

Hazrati accused those spreading the rumors of attempting to create confusion and political uncertainty inside Iran. He said the narratives were designed to undermine stability and public confidence but insisted that such efforts would not succeed.

Government officials also reiterated that President Pezeshkian continues to carry out his responsibilities normally and that there has been no interruption in the functioning of state institutions. Authorities stressed that government operations remain stable and that no changes have occurred within the country’s executive leadership.

The denial comes at a time when Iran remains under close international scrutiny due to domestic political developments, economic challenges, and regional tensions. As speculation spread online, officials moved quickly to counter the reports and reassure the public that state affairs are proceeding under normal administration.

Iranian authorities have maintained that the resignation claims are unfounded and have urged observers to rely on official sources for information regarding the country’s political leadership.
