Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense confirmed that multiple U.S. military aircraft crashed earlier today, though the exact cause of the incident has not yet been disclosed. In an official statement shared on social media the ministry’s spokesperson assured that all crew members were safely evacuated. Immediate search and rescue operations were launched, and the personnel were transferred to hospitals for medical evaluation and necessary treatment.
According to an American publication an official from United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that a U.S. military aircraft had crashed in Kuwait. The official stated that the crew successfully ejected in time and all members were safe.
CENTCOM further reported that during operations against Iran Kuwait’s air defense system mistakenly shot down three U.S. F 15E fighter jets. All six pilots managed to eject safely before impact.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media claimed that Iranian air defenses had shot down a U.S. F-15 fighter jet for violating its airspace asserting that the aircraft later crashed in Kuwait. Iranian forces also stated that the U.S. Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was being targeted.
Earlier Russian media had reported the crash of an F 15 fighter jet with the pilot injured and hospitalized.
