Islamabad Police ASI Javed was allegedly attacked while traveling to attend his mother’s funeral, leaving him with severe injuries and fractured legs.
An Islamabad Police official’s journey to attend his mother’s funeral turned into a painful ordeal after he was allegedly subjected to violence in Rawalakot. The incident has raised concerns over the safety of public servants traveling during sensitive situations.
According to sources, ASI Javed, who is posted at Noon Police Station in Islamabad and was performing duty in Kashmir, was traveling home after the death of his mother. During his journey in Rawalakot, protesters reportedly stopped him.
Sources said that after his Islamabad Police identification card was found, he was allegedly subjected to severe torture. The attack reportedly resulted in fractures to both of his legs, leaving the officer seriously injured.
The injured official was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), where he is currently receiving medical treatment. His condition is being monitored by doctors.
Police authorities have taken notice of the incident and started an investigation to determine the circumstances behind the alleged attack. Officials are collecting information and reviewing details to identify those responsible.
