Government approves 1,934 new positions to strengthen Islamabad Police and improve security operations across the federal capital.
The security landscape of Islamabad is set for a major transformation as the Ministry of Interior has approved 1,934 new positions for the federal police force, aiming to improve law and order and strengthen protection measures across the capital.
Officials said the new recruitment will be carried out for the Special Protection Unit and the Law and Order Division after receiving approval from both the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance.
According to details, 997 of the newly approved positions will focus on protecting VIPs and sensitive installations, while 937 posts will be dedicated to general law and order responsibilities.
The recruitment plan includes 1,580 constables, 180 head constables, along with inspector-level and other supervisory positions to enhance operational capacity.
