Massive Security Net on Rawalpindi Roads as Eid Traffic Plan Sparks Curiosity

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Rawalpindi traffic authorities have rolled out an extensive Eid-ul-Adha traffic management plan aimed at ensuring smooth flow of vehicles and preventing road accidents during the festive rush, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

According to the traffic police spokesperson, more than 900 officers and personnel have been deployed across key city routes, busy intersections, and sensitive locations to manage the expected surge in traffic during Eid days. The deployment is part of a citywide strategy designed to minimize congestion and maintain order on major roads.

To curb reckless driving behaviors, authorities have formed seven special squads specifically tasked with monitoring and stopping one-wheeling, car drifting, and other dangerous road activities. Officials said strict action will be taken against violators to ensure public safety remains a top priority during the holidays.

Additional traffic staff has also been positioned outside major mosques to manage congestion during Eid prayers, where large gatherings are expected early in the morning. Similarly, special arrangements have been made around parks and recreational sites, which typically witness heavy traffic on Eid days.

Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam stated that the entire force will remain active throughout the Eid period, emphasizing that traffic wardens are on duty so citizens can celebrate with their families without inconvenience. He urged the public to follow traffic regulations and cooperate with authorities to maintain a safe and pleasant environment on city roads.

Officials expressed confidence that with these arrangements in place, residents will not face major traffic disruptions during Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, provided citizens follow road safety rules and avoid violations.
