MDCAT 2026: UHS opens recount and review portal for Punjab candidates

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

UHS says candidates can seek verification of marks, response sheets, answer keys and questions through the online portal.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has opened an online Recount and Review Portal for candidates seeking verification of their Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 results in Punjab.

The MDCAT was conducted across Punjab on Sept. 20, and candidates can now submit requests for recounting or review of their results through the newly activated portal.

Candidates must submit their applications by Sept. 30. Requests filed after the deadline will not be accepted, while UHS has said its decision on recounting or reviewing a result will be considered final.

The review process covers several aspects of the examination. Candidates can request verification of the calculation of their marks, the reading of their response sheets, answers included in the official answer key and questions they believe require review.

To apply, candidates must provide a reason for requesting a review and upload a copy of their result card. They may also submit a carbon copy of their bubble sheet as supporting evidence.

Applicants are required to generate a bank challan, pay the prescribed fee and upload proof of payment before submitting their request. The application will then be forwarded to the UHS Examination Cell for processing.

UHS said applications will be processed within five working days.

The carbon copy of the bubble sheet can help candidates verify the answers they marked during the examination. Organizing universities were required to provide candidates with copies of their marked response sheets and preserve examination records for a specified period.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council had also directed universities to establish a mechanism for rechecking results and publish the official answer key.

Discrepancies can sometimes arise from incorrectly marked response sheets. MDCAT instructions state that improperly filled bubbles are treated as incorrect answers.

Because the response sheets are electronically processed, incomplete or unclear markings may result in an answer being recorded differently from what a candidate expected. The review process gives candidates an opportunity to seek verification of such issues before the Sept. 30 deadline.
