The excitement surrounding Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 has intensified following the signing of England’s experienced all-rounder Moeen Ali by Karachi Kings. The franchise confirmed that Moeen Ali has been directly signed on a contract worth Rs64.4 million, adding international pedigree and depth to the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Moeen Munir Ali OBE, a former England vice-captain in limited-overs cricket, represented England from 2014 to 2024 and remains one of the most respected all-rounders in modern T20 cricket. At the domestic level, he has played for Yorkshire and previously represented Worcestershire and Warwickshire, earning recognition for his match-winning abilities and leadership qualities.
The signing comes as PSL franchises finalize their retention and release lists, shaping squads for what is expected to be one of the most competitive editions of the tournament. Meanwhile, Australian batting star Steve Smith has joined Sialkot Stallions, further boosting excitement among fans.
Several teams have retained key players, with Peshawar Zalmi continuing to build around captain Babar Azam, while defending champions Lahore Qalandars have retained Shaheen Shah Afridi as skipper. Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Karachi Kings have also secured core players.
However, notable players including Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, and Saim Ayub will miss PSL 11, opening opportunities for emerging talent. With blockbuster signings and strategic decisions already underway, anticipation for PSL 11 continues to grow rapidly.
