Newborn Twins Found Abandoned in Shopping Bag in Gujrat as Police Trace Mother

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Newborn twins found abandoned in a shopping bag in Gujrat are now under child protection care as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.

GUJRAT: Newborn twins a boy and a girl were found abandoned inside a shopping bag in Gujrat, prompting police and child protection authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to rescue officials, the infants were discovered in the Madina Syedan area, which falls within the jurisdiction of Sadar Gujrat Police Station. The newborns were recovered and later handed over to Child Protection Gujranwala for care and protection.

Doctors who examined the babies said both infants were in good health despite being found in a vulnerable situation. They remain under the supervision of child protection authorities while arrangements for their continued welfare are being made.

Police have reportedly traced a woman believed to be the twins’ mother. She is currently in police custody while receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings as investigators seek to establish how the babies came to be abandoned and whether anyone else was involved.

According to police sources, the preliminary investigation indicates that the woman’s husband had contracted another marriage. Investigators are examining whether distress linked to the second marriage played a role in the alleged abandonment of the children.

However, police have not completed their investigation, and the reported motive remains a preliminary finding rather than an established fact. Further evidence and statements will be required before authorities can determine the circumstances conclusively.

The case has renewed attention on the protection of newborns and the role of emergency and child protection services in responding to abandoned children. The timely recovery of the twins ensured that they were placed under appropriate medical and protective supervision.
