High-level jirga meeting in Nowshera leads to government relief package, medical support, and job assurance for victim’s family after Sabarabad incident.
A major government response has been triggered in Nowshera following the tragic Sabarabad incident, as provincial authorities moved swiftly to address the grievances of the affected family and ensure financial and legal support. The development comes after growing concern and political engagement over the incident that left a young man dead and several others injured.
On the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi, a high-level jirga comprising family elders met the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in an important session aimed at immediate resolution of the matter and provision of relief to the bereaved family.
The meeting was attended by Member National Assembly Syed Shah Ahd Ali Shah, Provincial Health Minister Mian Khaliq ur Rehman, Special Assistant Shafi Jan, and the Deputy Commissioner of Nowshera. Officials reviewed the incident in detail and discussed administrative and humanitarian measures.
As a result of the discussions, the government formally approved a martyr compensation package for the deceased youth. Authorities also assured full medical treatment and financial assistance for those injured in the incident, signaling a comprehensive relief approach.
In a significant assurance to the family, officials confirmed that the deceased’s father will be provided a government job for his second son, aiming to secure long-term financial stability for the household.
The provincial administration emphasized that all possible steps are being taken to ensure justice, compensation, and continued support for the affected family, as pressure mounts for accountability and transparency in the case.
