NOWSHERA:(Anwer Zeb Khan)- The funeral of police officer ASI Ijaz Khattak, martyred during an Islamabad counter-terror operation, was held in his ancestral village of Garu, Nizam Pur, with full state honors.
A large number of police officers, political and social figures, and local residents attended the funeral prayers to pay their respects to the fallen officer.
ASI Ijaz Khattak was killed late last night during a raid in Hakimabad Dheri Kati Khel, conducted to apprehend terrorists. He succumbed to gunfire while bravely performing his duty, earning the nation’s gratitude for his sacrifice.
Officials and attendees described Khattak as a dedicated and courageous officer whose service and bravery would be remembered by the police force and the community alike.
The ceremony highlighted both the risks faced by law enforcement officers in counter-terrorism efforts and the high regard in which Khattak was held by colleagues and citizens.
