Model and former beauty queen Olivia Culpo has shared an emotional update about her second pregnancy, revealing how she and husband Christian McCaffrey carefully planned the birth around the demands of the upcoming NFL season.
In a recent TikTok “Get Ready With Me” video, Culpo admitted she was finding it difficult to say goodbye as McCaffrey prepared to return to football duties. She described the moment as emotionally overwhelming, with her pregnancy and her husband’s work schedule colliding at the same time.
Culpo also offered insight into her birth plan, explaining that she will undergo a scheduled cesarean section for her second child. Because her first baby was delivered by C-section in July last year, she said a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) was not considered an option, making a repeat C-section the recommended medical approach.
The couple coordinated the procedure for a date that would allow McCaffrey, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, to be present for the birth before quickly returning to team responsibilities. Culpo acknowledged that, unlike their first experience as parents, they will not have the same amount of uninterrupted time together after welcoming their newborn.
She also addressed a common misconception about the NFL schedule, noting that while regular-season games begin in September, training camp starts in late July. That early reporting schedule significantly influenced the timing of the baby’s delivery and required careful coordination between her medical team and McCaffrey’s football commitments.
Culpo and McCaffrey announced in May that they are expecting their second child together. The couple, who began dating in 2019 and later married, welcomed their first daughter in July 2025. As they prepare to expand their family, they are balancing the excitement of a new arrival with the demanding schedule of a professional NFL season.
