Operation Ghazab lil-Haq: Pakistan Targets Terrorist Camps at Two Afghan Locations

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Pakistan says precision aerial strikes targeted hideouts linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, Fitna al-Hindustan and affiliated groups at two locations in Afghanistan.

Pakistan conducted “well-planned and calibrated” aerial strikes against terrorist hideouts and safe havens at two locations in Afghanistan on Thursday, with initial reports indicating that 22 terrorists were killed, according to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The ministry said the strikes were carried out as part of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq and Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. The operation was based on credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorist camps and hideouts.

According to the ministry, the targets were associated with groups referred to by Pakistan as Fitna al-Khawarij, Fitna al-Hindustan and their affiliates. The strikes were conducted selectively at two identified locations, with the targets engaged with precision and accuracy.

The ministry said initial reports suggested that 22 terrorists were killed in the strikes. It also said large quantities of weapons and ammunition stored at the targeted hideouts were destroyed.

Pakistan said maximum precautions were taken during the operation to prevent civilian casualties and collateral damage. The government reiterated that the safety and security of Pakistani citizens remained its foremost priority.

The Ministry of Information said Pakistan continued to seek peace and stability in the region but expressed concern over what it described as Afghanistan’s continued role as a hub of terrorism. Islamabad has repeatedly maintained that terrorist networks operating from Afghan territory pose a security threat to Pakistan.

The latest strikes are part of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, which Pakistan launched in 2026 amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and continuing concerns over militant activity. Earlier this year, Pakistani authorities said the operation included strikes against terrorist infrastructure based on intelligence reports.

The ministry said Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign would continue at full pace against what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism. The latest statement did not provide the precise locations of the two sites inside Afghanistan or further details about the identities of those reportedly killed.
