Military leadership pays tribute to soldiers’ sacrifices, calls for unity and national harmony on Eid.
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s top military leadership on Saturday extended warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the nation, emphasizing unity, compassion and gratitude as defining values of the festive occasion.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of the Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu conveyed heartfelt wishes on behalf of the armed forces.
The military leadership said Eid reflects enduring principles of unity, empathy and thankfulness, urging citizens to uphold these values in strengthening national cohesion.
They paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces personnel, acknowledging the resilience of soldiers who remain deployed in defense of the country, often away from their families during important occasions.
The statement also recognized the unwavering support of the families of service members, calling their role vital in maintaining morale and operational readiness.
“Eid’s true spirit for the armed forces lies in the honor of serving and defending the motherland,” the statement noted, highlighting the commitment to ensuring peace, security and stability across the country.
The leadership expressed hope that the occasion would bring peace, prosperity and blessings to Pakistan and the broader Muslim world.
