Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Pakistan is playing a central role in global affairs, adding that the country’s recent achievements are the result of the strategies of the Prime Minister and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Speaking to the media, he strongly criticized the Indian media, saying that if it is not mourning Pakistan’s global success, then what else would it do? He added that the Indian media appears frustrated over Pakistan’s rising international standing.

Khawaja Asif said that in the 78-year history of Pakistan, such positive global sentiment has never been seen before, and today the world is focusing its attention on Pakistan. He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir for improving Pakistan’s global image through their coordinated strategy. He also referred to the Prime Minister’s visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar as part of this diplomatic progress.

The Defence Minister further said that Pakistan is currently playing a “pivotal role” in world affairs and expressed hope that the next round of negotiations will be successful, leading to lasting peace in the region.

He added that the rights of the people of Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine would be protected, and a new era of unity and brotherhood in the Muslim world is about to begin. He also prayed that along with diplomatic and political success, the economic difficulties of the people will also come to an end.

Khawaja Asif concluded by praying that Allah protects Pakistan from the evil eye.
