Pakistan Women’s U19 and South Africa Women’s U19 officially launched their upcoming five-match T20 series with the unveiling of the trophy at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, setting the stage for an exciting contest between two promising sides.
The series opens on July 14, with the remaining fixtures scheduled for July 17, 19, 22, and 24. All matches will be played under floodlights, beginning at 7 p.m. local time, while the toss will take place at 6:30 p.m. Fans will be able to attend the matches free of charge in selected stadium enclosures.
Pakistan will be led by captain Fizza Fiaz, while Mieke van Voorst will captain South Africa. The hosts head into the series with momentum after securing a 3-2 T20 series victory over Bangladesh earlier this year.
Twelve members of Pakistan’s Bangladesh tour squad have retained their places, giving the team a balanced combination of experience and emerging talent. Captain Fizza expressed confidence ahead of the series, saying the players are eager to perform in front of their home supporters and are focused on discipline, teamwork, and consistency.
Pakistan’s squad includes Fizza Fiaz, Alzoha Hammad, Aqsa Habib, Areesha Ansari, Barirah Saif, Hadia Mina, Komal Khan, Mah Noor, Maham Nazakat, Mahnoor Zeb, Memoona Khalid, Raahima Syed, Ravail Farhan, Rozina Akram, Shahar Bano, Zainab Khanum, and Zoofishan Ayyaz.
