Pakistan successfully tests the extended version of its indigenously developed Fatah-4 Ground-Launched Cruise Missile, according to ISPR.
Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted a test launch of the extended version of its indigenously developed Fatah-4 Ground-Launched Cruise Missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the military’s media wing, the test was conducted to validate the missile’s enhanced capabilities and assess several technical parameters of its upgraded subsystems.
The Fatah-4 Extended Version is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigation systems, which are intended to enhance the weapon system’s accuracy, survivability and ability to engage targets at extended ranges, ISPR said.
The test also evaluated the performance of various subsystems incorporated into the missile system to improve its precision and operational effectiveness.
Senior Pakistan Army officers, along with scientists and engineers involved in the missile’s development, witnessed the test launch.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the chiefs of the armed forces congratulated the teams involved in the successful test.
They also appreciated the technical expertise, dedication and efforts of the scientists, engineers and personnel involved in the development and testing of the Fatah-4 Extended Version.
The latest test is another development in Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen its indigenous defense capabilities and advance its missile technology.
