The Green Shirts also got a confidence boosting 22-run victory in the first match and defeated Australia in the T20 format, the first time in seven years. The combination of the bowlers and batters in Pakistan enabled the country to take control of the series opener and pressurize the visitors with an early advantage.
The team management is supposed to take into account several modifications on the playing XI in the second match as Pakistan seek to gain momentum and continue gaining an advantage. Australia on the other hand will be keen to rebound and continue with the series following the initial defeat.
