Authorities detained the podcaster after immigration screening reportedly revealed an active case and his inclusion on the PNIL list.

Lahore: Pakistani podcaster Rehan Tariq was arrested at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport during routine immigration screening, according to sources.

Sources said the arrest was made after officials discovered that Rehan Tariq was wanted in a case registered with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). During the airport verification process, authorities also reportedly found that his name was included on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL).

Following the verification, NCCIA officials took the podcaster into custody for further legal proceedings. Details regarding the nature of the case have not yet been officially disclosed.
