Pakistan’s security forces Repel Unprovoked Afghan Taliban Firing Along Border

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Security sources say multiple militant posts destroyed in Chitral, Khyber and adjoining sectors following cross-border attack

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces responded decisively after what officials described as unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban fighters along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, security sources said Friday.

According to officials, the firing targeted multiple points along the frontier in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistani troops swiftly retaliated, engaging positions across the Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram and Bajaur sectors.

Initial reports indicated that Afghan Taliban fighters suffered significant casualties, while several of their posts and equipment were destroyed in the counteraction. Security sources said the attackers had miscalculated the situation, prompting a “timely and effective” response from Pakistani forces.

The cross-border exchange underscores persistent tensions along the rugged frontier, where sporadic clashes have occurred in recent months. Officials reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to safeguarding its territorial integrity and ensuring the protection of its citizens.

Authorities warned that any future aggression would be met with a strong and proportionate response as security operations continue to maintain stability along the volatile border region.
