PESHAWAR:(Roshan Khan Wazir)- Capital City Police Peshawar have launched a strict crackdown against individuals involved in spreading obscenity and misusing social media, adopting a zero-tolerance policy to protect social and moral values.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation is being carried out on the directives of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed. Under the supervision of DSP Pashtakhara Circle, Umar Afridi, Station House Officer (SHO) Pashtakhara Police Station, Iftikhar Ahmed, conducted a targeted operation that led to the arrest of two TikTok users.
The arrested suspects were identified as Sajid alias Bagay and Nasir Khalil. Police stated that both individuals were involved in creating and sharing immoral videos on social media platforms, which later went viral.
Cases have been registered against the suspects, and further investigations are underway to determine the extent of their activities and any possible involvement of others.
Capital City Police Peshawar reiterated their commitment to taking indiscriminate action against elements involved in promoting obscenity, immorality, and the misuse of digital platforms. Authorities emphasized that such operations will continue to ensure the protection of societal values and responsible use of social media.
