Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Pakistan Navy’s operational readiness and professional capabilities following the first successful live weapon firing by PNS/M Hangor.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan Navy and its leadership on the first successful live weapon firing test conducted by the newly inducted submarine PNS/M Hangor.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday, Shehbaz praised the successful firing of an anti-ship cruise missile at a long-range target, describing the test as a demonstration of the Pakistan Navy’s submarine force’s operational readiness, professional expertise and combat capability.
The prime minister said the successful engagement of the long-range target with an anti-ship cruise missile reflected the submarine force’s preparedness and professional proficiency.
Shehbaz also reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to meet any challenge to national security.
The prime minister commended Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and all personnel associated with the induction and operationalization of PNS/M Hangor for their professional performance.
The successful live weapon firing marks an operational milestone for the newly inducted submarine and highlights the Pakistan Navy’s focus on maintaining combat readiness and strengthening its submarine capabilities.
