PM Shehbaz Sharif praises security forces for eliminating 10 terrorists in Surab and vows to continue the fight against terrorism until its complete eradication.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised Pakistan’s security forces for killing 10 terrorists during a clearance operation in Surab, Balochistan, while expressing grief over the loss of civilian lives in an explosion linked to the preparation of a vehicle for a suicide attack.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the prime minister commended officers and personnel involved in the operation against what the government describes as Fitna al-Hindustan.
Sharif said the terrorists involved in such activities were enemies of peace and the people of Balochistan. He also expressed sorrow over the deaths of civilians caught in an explosion during the preparation of the vehicle intended for terrorist activity.
“The loss of civilian lives during preparations for violence and unrest is deeply regrettable,” the prime minister said, according to the PM Office.
The security forces conducted a clearance operation in Surab following the incident and killed 10 terrorists, according to the official statement. The operation highlights the continuing security challenges facing Balochistan, where authorities have repeatedly emphasized efforts to prevent militant attacks and protect civilians.
Sharif said the government and security forces would continue the fight against terrorism until the threat was completely eliminated.
He also reiterated national support for the armed forces, saying that the entire nation, including himself, stood alongside them in their resolve to protect the country.
