President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid glowing tribute to martyred Group Captain Asim Tariq, praising his extraordinary bravery after he sacrificed his life while trying to save an innocent woman during a tragic incident in Islamabad.
In separate statements, both leaders expressed profound grief over the officer’s martyrdom and extended heartfelt condolences to his family. President Zardari described the sacrifice as a remarkable example of humanity, devotion to duty, and national service. He said laying down one’s life to protect another reflects the highest moral values and deserves lasting respect.
The president also voiced concern over the tragic incident on one of Islamabad’s busiest roads, stressing that such occurrences are deeply alarming. He called for effective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future and prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved family.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Group Captain Asim Tariq displayed exceptional courage and selflessness by sacrificing his life to protect a woman’s life and dignity. He emphasized that the entire nation would always remember the fallen officer’s bravery with honor and gratitude.
