The Punjab government has received the preliminary medical report of Imran Khan, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), detailing his ongoing health care in Adiala Jail. The report includes comprehensive information on his vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and blood sugar levels.
According to sources, on-duty doctors monitor Imran Khan three times daily, recording each reading, with records securely maintained by jail authorities and shared with relevant government officials. Special attention has also been given to his eye health, with consultant reports included in the submission.
A specialized medical team, including Dr. Amjad and Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, visited Adiala Jail to conduct a detailed examination. Following the assessment, authorities will decide whether hospital transfer is required for further treatment.
Heightened security measures have been implemented around the jail, including additional personnel, to ensure both safety and uninterrupted medical care. Officials stressed that all procedures are being carried out in accordance with law and jail regulations, with arrangements in place for any emergency medical situation.
The examination underscores the government’s focus on providing transparent and continuous medical attention while safeguarding the former Prime Minister’s health and security.
