Party emphasizes unity and prioritizes Imran Khan’s release over internal disputes
Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has dismissed reports of disciplinary action against senior leader Ali Amin Gandapur, calling them baseless. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan clarified that no decision has been made to take any action against Gandapur, and such rumors are entirely unfounded.
In his statement, Barrister Gohar emphasized that the party is committed to maintaining internal unity and cannot afford internal conflicts. He noted that Gandapur has been requested to play a constructive role in preserving party cohesion.
According to Barrister Gohar, Gandapur issued a video statement apologizing for his earlier remarks, demonstrating a positive approach. He reiterated that the party’s top priority remains securing the release of its founder, Imran Khan.
Earlier, Gandapur had expressed concern that despite PTI’s popularity, it had failed to secure Khan’s release from prison. He later apologized, stating that he did not intend to offend anyone, while stressing that providing Khan with personal medical facilities is a legitimate demand.
PTI sources say that the leadership currently considers the founder’s release as its foremost objective.
