Ramadan Bank Hours Pakistan 2026: Updated Schedule for Customers

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Banks Announce Special Ramadan Hours Across Pakistan

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced revised banking hours for Ramadan 1447 AH, introducing a uniform schedule for all commercial banks, development financial institutions, microfinance banks, and the SBP itself.

From Monday to Thursday, banks will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., offering uninterrupted access to essential banking services. On Fridays, operations will be limited to 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in consideration of congregational prayers and the unique routine of the holy month.

“Keeping in view the needs of customers during Ramadan, this special arrangement has been made to facilitate smooth conduct of banking transactions,” said the SBP spokesperson. Formal instructions have been issued to ensure full compliance at all branches nationwide.

The revised timings aim to balance public convenience with efficient banking operations while respecting the religious and social considerations of Ramadan. Officials emphasized that these hours are temporary and banks will revert to their regular schedules once the holy month concludes.

The central bank urged customers to plan their transactions accordingly and stay updated on any official changes communicated through SBP channels. Such annual adjustments reflect the importance of aligning business operations with the spiritual rhythms and social commitments observed across Pakistan during Ramadan.
