Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society renews its leadership for another three-year term, emphasizing veterans’ welfare, organizational reforms, and future priorities.
The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society has re-elected Gen. Abdul Qayyum as its president during the organization’s three-year elections held in Rawalpindi, reaffirming confidence in the existing leadership.
Following his re-election, Gen. Abdul Qayyum immediately reappointed Aziz Awan as Chief Organizer and Media Coordinator for the next three-year term. He was also assigned the additional responsibility of Contact Secretary to strengthen coordination within the organization.
According to the announcement made after the election, the society also declared that more than four million retired military members across Pakistan would designate Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as the organization’s honorary Patron-in-Chief.
During the gathering, participants strongly condemned criticism directed at the Pakistan Armed Forces on social media. Speakers also expressed the view that Gen. Syed Asim Munir should be considered for the Nobel Prize for Peace in recognition of what they described as his contributions toward global peace. This reflects the opinions expressed at the event and does not indicate that any official Nobel nomination or award has been announced.
