Enhancing visitor safety and convenience with instant emergency access and AI guidance.
Murree: The Murree Police have officially launched the Safe Tourism Murree mobile app, a step aimed at enhancing visitor safety and convenience in the scenic hill station, aligning with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif‘s vision of smart, secure tourism.
The app provides tourists with instant access to essential services, including local police, Rescue 1122, traffic control, and motorway police. It also offers up-to-date information on hotels, popular tourist spots, safety zones, and weather conditions.
One of the app’s standout features is an AI-powered chatbot that offers smart travel guidance, ensuring visitors have real-time assistance at their fingertips. In emergencies, tourists can directly contact the District Police Officer (DPO) Murree via WhatsApp for immediate support.
Authorities believe the app will simplify navigation, improve response times in emergencies, and create a safer environment for families, solo travelers, and international visitors. A simple QR code scan allows instant download, making it accessible to anyone visiting Murree.
“Travel smart, stay safe, and enjoy Murree to the fullest,” officials advised, highlighting the importance of preparedness alongside adventure.
