SHO Martyred in Alleged Police Encounter in Sargodha’s Kot Momin Area

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Sargodha: A tragic incident occurred in the Kot Momin area of Sargodha where Station House Officer (SHO) of Luxian Police Station, Amir Rizwan, was martyred during an alleged police encounter late on Tuesday night, according to police sources.

Initial reports suggest that a suspect, allegedly intoxicated with alcohol, was firing shots indiscriminately in residential streets, creating panic among locals. Upon receiving an emergency call on helpline 15, SHO Amir Rizwan, along with a police team, rushed to the scene to control the situation.

Sources said that as soon as the police party arrived, the suspect opened direct fire on them. A bullet struck SHO Amir Rizwan in the chest, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately shifted to the DHQ Hospital Sargodha for emergency treatment; however, despite doctors’ efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead.

Following the incident, a heavy contingent of police, including the Elite Force, was deployed in the area. The locality was cordoned off, and a search and clearance operation was launched to apprehend the suspect.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha personally reached the site, while security was placed on high alert. The martyrdom of the SHO has spread fear and grief across the area, with law enforcement continuing operations to restore peace.
