Renowned F-Class shooter Mohsin Nawaz has highlighted critical gaps in Pakistan’s sports infrastructure during a meeting with Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, stressing the urgent need for modern facilities to nurture international-level athletes.
During the discussion, Mohsin Nawaz shared firsthand challenges faced by professional shooters, including the lack of standardized shooting ranges, limited access to modern equipment, and insufficient institutional support. He emphasized that despite immense talent, Pakistani shooters struggle to compete globally due to outdated infrastructure and minimal investment at the grassroots level.
Minister Ahsan Iqbal appreciated Mohsin Nawaz’s achievements and acknowledged the importance of sports in projecting a positive image of Pakistan internationally. He assured that the government recognizes sports as a vital sector and is committed to integrating sports development into national planning.
