Terror Safe Havens Burned in Lakki Marwat Forest as Major Security Operation Unfolds

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Joint police and counter-terrorism forces dismantled suspected militant hideouts in Lakki Marwat, while community leaders pledged support for efforts to eliminate crime and social evils across the district.

A major security operation in Lakki Marwat led to the destruction of several suspected terrorist hideouts hidden within dense forests near Wanda Painda Khan, authorities said on Friday. The intelligence-based action was launched to disrupt militant networks believed to be using the remote area as a planning and staging ground for attacks.

According to police officials, Saddar police carried out the operation with support from Counter-Terrorism Department commandos, Elite Force personnel, and Quick Response Force units. Security teams thoroughly searched the locations before setting the hideouts on fire to prevent their future use.

Officials said the targeted sites had allegedly served as safe havens for terrorists and criminal elements operating near the Lakki-Darra Tang stretch of the Bannu-Mianwali Road, a strategic route connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Temporary checkpoints were established on access roads and tracks leading to the forested area. Law enforcement personnel also searched suspected houses and vehicles during the operation. Authorities did not immediately confirm whether any arrests were made.

In a separate development, community elders from the Abdulkhel area met with district police officials at the District Headquarters Complex in Tajazai. Participants agreed to strengthen cooperation against narcotics trafficking, aerial firing, and other criminal activities, highlighting growing community support for maintaining law and order in the region.
