Two young men from Mandi Bahauddin die allegedly at the hands of human smugglers in Iran, sparking calls for justice
MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Two young men from Mandi Bahauddin reportedly died in Iran after being subjected to violence by human smugglers, according to family members and social media reports. The incident came to light after images of the victims’ bodies circulated online.
Relatives said the men had left Pakistan illegally about three months ago, aiming to reach Europe. The families allege that the human traffickers attacked the youths when additional payment was not provided, resulting in their deaths.
Following the news, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested four human smugglers involved in sending the men abroad. Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend others implicated in the case.
The victims’ families have urged the government to ensure strict punishment for all responsible parties and provide justice to the affected families.
