US President Donald Trump has again threatened to target Iran’s nuclear facilities, identifying a strategically significant site near the country’s main uranium enrichment facility at Natanz as a possible target.
Trump said the United States could strike Kuh-e Kolang Gaz La, a mountain located near the Natanz uranium enrichment facility. The site is considered strategically important because it reportedly contains two heavily protected tunnel complexes.
Trump did not provide details about any potential military operation or indicate when a strike could take place. His remarks came amid continued tensions over Iran’s nuclear program and the broader conflict between the United States and Iran.
The US president has repeatedly warned that Iran’s nuclear infrastructure could face attack if he considers it a threat to American interests. His latest comments again raised the possibility of further US military action against facilities associated with Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
Trump also addressed the Russia-Ukraine war during the remarks, saying US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would travel to Russia and Ukraine. According to Trump, the two would present a proposal intended to help bring the conflict to an end.
The president’s comments on Iran were accompanied by a broader message concerning US military capabilities.
