The 41-year-old forward silenced recent critics with two first-half goals, helping Portugal secure its first win of the tournament and move to four points in Group K. The victory significantly boosted Portugal’s chances of reaching the round of 32.
Ronaldo’s brace marked another milestone in his legendary career. He became the first player to score in six different World Cup editions and surpassed Eusebio as Portugal’s leading scorer in World Cup history with 10 tournament goals.
