Two Killed, Two Injured in Deadly Murree Road Crash in Rawalpindi

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

RAWALPINDI (Yaseen Hashmi) — A deadly traffic accident on Murree Road near the Rabi Center claimed the lives of two people and left two others injured on Sunday, rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, a speeding car lost control and collided with another car coming from the opposite direction before hitting a motorcycle. The impact caused severe damage, resulting in the immediate deaths of 25-year-old Zohaib and 42-year-old Rizwan at the scene.

Rescue teams rushed to the site with emergency vehicles soon after receiving information about the crash and launched relief operations. The injured victims, identified as 59-year-old Munir and 20-year-old Muzammil, were provided first aid before being shifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Another injured individual, 34-year-old Shehryar, was treated at the scene.

Rescue 1122 Emergency Officer Operations Hamza Ali Khan personally supervised the rescue operation, officials said.

Police also reached the site, collected evidence and cleared the roadway to restore traffic flow. Authorities said initial findings suggest overspeeding as the possible cause of the accident, though further investigation is underway.

The tragic incident has once again highlighted concerns over reckless driving and the increasing number of road accidents in the city, prompting renewed calls for stricter enforcement of traffic laws.
