Amid rising tensions over a possible US strike on Iran, the United States Department of State has ordered the immediate departure of non essential staff from its embassy in Israel. US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee advised embassy personnel that those wishing to leave the country should depart without delay.
At the same time the Government of the United Kingdom announced the temporary withdrawal of its staff from Iran describing the move as a precautionary step in light of the current security environment. British officials emphasized that the measure is preventive and will be reviewed as the situation develops.
Meanwhile, Dutch airline KLM suspended flights to Israel due to escalating tensions between Iran and the United States. Australia has also initiated measures to evacuate its citizens from Israel, Lebanon, Jordan Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
In a further sign of military preparedness, the United States has deployed six additional F 22 Raptor fighter jets to the Middle East. The developments reflect growing international concern as diplomatic and military tensions continue to intensify across the region.
