A sensational kidnapping case that sparked concern across Pakistan has taken a dramatic turn after police claimed the entire incident was staged by the alleged victim himself.
According to police sources, a man identified as Nooruddin, who was reportedly abducted from Islamabad and taken to the riverine “Kacha” area, allegedly orchestrated the kidnapping drama with the help of two friends. Investigators say the suspects recorded fake abduction videos and circulated them on social media to create panic and mislead authorities.
Police alleged that the primary motive behind the scheme was to file false cases against rivals while also avoiding repayment of large sums of money allegedly owed to multiple individuals.
Sources further claimed that Nooruddin had obtained significant amounts through fraudulent dealings and later devised the fake kidnapping plan to escape mounting financial pressure.
The case was unraveled after SP City Ayaz and his investigation team used modern surveillance technology and human intelligence to trace the suspects. Authorities later conducted an operation in Rahim Yar Khan, where Nooruddin and his two alleged accomplices were arrested.
The incident has drawn widespread attention online, especially after the kidnapping videos went viral and triggered fears over worsening law and order concerns. Police officials say further investigations are underway to determine the full extent of the alleged fraud and identify any additional individuals connected to the case.
