WASA Rawalpindi Orders Round-the-Clock Work on Key Punjab Development Projects

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

RAWALPINDI: Managing Director of Water and Sanitation Agency Rawalpindi, Azizullah Khan, chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on ongoing projects under the Punjab Development Program, directing officials to accelerate work and ensure timely completion.

During the session, detailed briefings were presented on multiple development schemes aimed at improving water supply and drainage systems across the city. Khan expressed concern over delays and instructed consultants and contractors to expedite operations without compromising quality.

He emphasized that work must continue even during nighttime hours to meet deadlines, warning that negligence or unnecessary delays would not be tolerated. “Timely completion is critical, and strict accountability will be enforced,” he said.

The MD also called for effective monitoring mechanisms and improved coordination among all stakeholders to avoid bottlenecks. Officials were directed to maintain consistent communication and resolve issues promptly.

Highlighting the importance of public service delivery, Khan reiterated that providing reliable water supply and efficient sewage management remains a top priority. He described PDP projects as a significant milestone toward enhancing urban infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring these initiatives are completed on schedule, aiming to deliver long-term benefits to Rawalpindi’s growing population.
