Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in India gross collections, reaching another major box-office milestone just days after its release.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama opened strongly at the Indian box office and has continued to attract audiences despite a decline in daily collections after its opening day.
According to early tracking figures, Toxic collected an estimated Rs 101.10 crore net in India on its opening day. The film added around Rs 37.65 crore net on Day 2 and Rs 27.20 crore on Day 3, taking its three-day domestic net collection to approximately Rs 165.95 crore.
On Day 4, the film earned an estimated Rs 3.71 crore net in India, bringing its total domestic net collection to about Rs 169.66 crore. With taxes included, its India gross collection has reached an estimated Rs 202.48 crore.
The Day 4 figures remain subject to revision as final reports from theatres and additional shows are compiled. However, crossing the Rs 200 crore India gross mark so early in its theatrical run gives the film another significant achievement.
Toxic has also recorded a strong performance in international markets. After crossing the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide, the film is now targeting the Rs 250 crore global milestone. Its ability to reach that figure will depend on how strongly it performs in the coming days.
The film’s weekday performance will be particularly important in determining its eventual box-office total. If it maintains steady occupancy after its opening weekend, Toxic could continue building momentum toward a substantially higher worldwide collection.
The film stars Yash in a dual role and features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi and Tara Sutaria. Its gangster-themed narrative, ensemble cast and Geetu Mohandas’ direction have contributed to significant audience interest.
