A senior official from Iran has stated that diplomacy with the United States has not come to a halt, emphasizing that a solution remains possible if Washington adopts a more realistic approach. Speaking to Reuters, the official revealed that Iran has reviewed U.S. proposals delivered through Pakistan.
According to the Iranian official the proposals were considered one sided and unfair, primarily serving the interests of the United States and Israel. Iran communicated its concerns to Pakistan, highlighting that the proposals lacked key requirements necessary for meaningful negotiations.
The official further noted that no formal arrangements for talks have been finalized so far, and there is currently no clear plan for immediate dialogue. However, diplomatic efforts are still ongoing, with both Pakistan and Turkiye working to establish common ground between the two sides.
Despite the challenges Iran maintains that the diplomatic process is still active. The official stressed that if the United States demonstrates flexibility and realism a pathway toward constructive negotiations and potential agreement could still emerge in the near future.
