U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Iran, urging its leadership to engage in negotiations before it is too late. In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Iranian negotiators are acting “strangely” and are secretly seeking talks, despite publicly stating they are only reviewing U.S. proposals.
Trump alleged that Iran has been militarily weakened and has no realistic chance of recovery, insisting that its leadership should take negotiations seriously. He warned that once the window for a deal closes, the consequences will not be good.
Speaking at a fundraising event for the Republican Party in Washington, Trump further claimed that Iranian officials are fearful adding that no one is willing to assume the role of Supreme Leader. He also stated that Iran wants to negotiate directly with him to reach an agreement and end ongoing tensions.
In a separate statement, Trump criticized NATO for not providing sufficient support regarding Iran. He emphasized that the United States does not rely on NATO but would remember its stance during this critical period.
