The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a series of large-scale attacks targeting alleged United States and Israeli positions across the region according to statements released on Saturday.
The IRGC said that approximately 500 US military personnel were either killed or injured in the operations, though these figures have not been independently verified. The group also claimed that a US F-16 Fighting Falcon was shot down in southern areas of the Persian Gulf region adding that the aircraft crashed before reaching a base in Saudi Arabia.
In its statement, the IRGC further alleged that it carried out coordinated strikes against American and Israeli industrial and strategic sites in what it described as “occupied Palestine” and surrounding regions. The group warned that any further attacks on Iranian infrastructure would trigger a stronger response.
Separately the Khatam al Anbiya Headquarters claimed that a strategic electronic warfare center in the Israeli city of Haifa was targeted along with fuel storage facilities at the Ben Gurion Airport.
Authorities in United States and Israel have not yet confirmed the claims. The situation remains highly tense amid escalating regional military rhetoric.
