Contractors from South Waziristan Lower convened in DI Khan to discuss unity, election strategy, and organizational reforms.
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Contractors from South Waziristan Lower held an important jirga in Dera Ismail Khan, where they discussed upcoming elections, internal unity, and organizational matters, participants said.
The gathering brought together contractors from various regions who emphasized the need to end minor disputes and strengthen unity for better collective representation and rights protection.
Participants agreed that a coordinated and transparent approach should be adopted for forming and strengthening their union. They stressed that unity would help resolve long-standing issues and improve their collective bargaining position.
During the jirga, a committee was formally constituted to address internal differences and promote harmony among stakeholders. The committee includes Contractor Khatam, Chairman Sahib Khan Wazir, Rashid Khan, Rakim Khan, and Zainullah.
Speakers highlighted that a strong and organized union would not only help resolve contractors’ issues but also contribute positively to the development of the region.
They further reaffirmed their commitment to building a solid organizational structure based on mutual consultation and transparency. Participants underscored that unity remains the key to success and is essential for achieving long-term progress and prosperity in the area.
