ISLAMABAD: US Vice President JD Vance is expected to arrive in Islamabad on Saturday to lead a high-level American delegation in peace talks with Iran, according to Reuters. Earlier, an Iranian delegation led by Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf arrived in Islamabad ahead of the scheduled negotiations. The delegation was received by senior Pakistani leadership, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Pakistani officials reiterated their commitment to supporting diplomatic engagement and regional stability. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the Iranian delegation and emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue to resolve differences peacefully.
