Iranian Delegation Arrives in Islamabad Ahead of US-Iran Ceasefire Talks, Receives High-Level Welcome

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Iranian delegation arrives in Islamabad ahead of US-Iran ceasefire talks amid Pakistan-led diplomatic efforts.

ISLAMABAD: An Iranian delegation led by Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf arrived in Islamabad on Saturday ahead of high-stakes ceasefire talks with the United States, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Office.

The delegation was received at the airport by senior Pakistani leadership, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

The visit comes a day before planned negotiations between Tehran and Washington, with Pakistan playing a facilitative diplomatic role aimed at reducing regional tensions and encouraging dialogue between the two long-time adversaries.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office said Ishaq Dar welcomed the Iranian delegation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peaceful diplomatic efforts focused on de-escalation. He expressed hope that all participating sides would approach the upcoming talks in a constructive and solution-oriented spirit.

Dar further reiterated Islamabad’s readiness to continue assisting both Iran and the United States in achieving a sustainable and long-term resolution to ongoing disputes. Pakistan has consistently emphasized dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred path to regional stability, particularly amid fragile security conditions in the Middle East.
