Islamabad Traffic Advisory Issued Amid Major Road Closures During Islamabad Talks

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: Authorities have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for the federal capital on Saturday amid heightened security arrangements linked to ongoing high-level diplomatic activity in the city.

According to officials, major traffic disruptions have been implemented across key arteries, including significant diversions on the Islamabad Expressway and Srinagar Highway. Public transport entry onto the Expressway has also been temporarily suspended to manage congestion and ensure security protocols are maintained.

Authorities have further instructed transport operators not to halt at designated bus stops or loops along affected routes, as part of efforts to maintain continuous traffic flow and reduce bottlenecks during peak movement hours.

The Red Zone and Extended Red Zone, which house key government and diplomatic installations, have been completely sealed off to all vehicular movement, resulting in further restrictions across central Islamabad.

Several major roads have been fully or partially closed for commuters, including routes connecting Kashmir Chowk, Zero Point, Srinagar Highway segments, Shakar Parian Road, Jinnah Avenue, and Margalla Road. These closures are expected to significantly impact daily travel across the capital.
