Officials review hospital performance, infrastructure needs, and approve immediate upgrades to improve patient care in Nowshera.
DHQ Hospital Nowshera held a comprehensive review meeting chaired by Member of Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel to assess healthcare services, staff performance, and infrastructure conditions at the facility.
The meeting was attended by Medical Superintendent Dr. Fahad Iqbal, heads of all departments, and senior doctors. Participants reviewed the current state of services being provided to patients and discussed key areas requiring improvement.
During the session, detailed deliberations were held on hospital operations, efficiency of medical staff, and the availability of essential facilities for patients. Officials emphasized the need to enhance service delivery standards across all departments.
Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel stated that work on the DHQ Hospital Nowshera mega project “Express Line” would begin soon, which is expected to address major issues caused by power outages and infrastructure limitations within the hospital.
He directed that 50 new fans and a water filtration plant be provided to the hospital within one week using his allocated development funds. He also instructed that a 30 KVA solar system funded through his resources be made operational at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
He further stressed the urgent need to improve patient facilities, expedite the restoration of double-shift outpatient departments (OPD), and ensure the early functionality of the operation theater through practical and effective measures.
Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel reiterated that healthcare remains his top priority, stating that efforts are underway to provide the people of Nowshera with quality medical services and that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
